I was born in 1950 in Los Angeles and was raised in the San Gabriel Valley in the small town of Sierra Madre. In 1971 I moved to the Monterey Peninsula, drawn by the beauty of the area and the artists' community.
I first felt a desire to paint and draw when I sat for my portrait at age 5. That experience captured my imagination and awoke in me a longing to create with the magic of paint. Since that early age I have expressed myself through art. As my love for creating art grew, so did my passion for nature. Painting and printmaking enable me to convey the reverence I feel for the natural world, while fulfilling my childhood dream of being an artist.
